Marching Band Leadership Camp
July 6 - July 11, 2008

Marching Band Leadership Camp is one of our most popular summer camps. Designed not only for drum majors, but section leaders, band captains and other leadership personnel, this camp has trained many of the finest high school drum majors and student leaders in the Southeast. Instruction focuses on developing leadership skills, communication skills and group dynamics. Instruction will incorporate many drum major styles and introduce basic and advanced conducting techniques, score analysis, block drills and much more.

Students are required to bring an instrument to this camp; it will be necessary for the score interpretation & preparation lessons. ThIs camp does not include a color guard component.

No audition required.

South Florida Bus Service

We will be offering chaperoned bus service for Marching Band Leadership Camp from South Florida. The bus will make stops in Miami, Boca Raton, Port St. Lucie and Orlando on July 6 and will return to the same stops on July 12th. Housing will br provided at no extra cost for Marching Band students to remain at camp overnight on July 11th to take the bus home on July 12th. The cost for the bus service will be $85.00 one way or $150.00 for round-trip. Please click here for additional information.


GUEST INSTRUCTOR - DR. TIM LAUTZENHEISER

We are thrilled to announce the participation of Dr. Tim Lautzenheiser at the Marching Band Leadership Camp on Monday, July 7th. Dr. Lautzenheiser is a well-known name in the music education world as a teacher, clinician, author, composer, conductor and consultant. His career involves ten years of successful college band directing at Northern Michigan University, the University of Missouri, and New Mexico State University. Age Guidelines

Open to students attending grades 8-12 in the 07-08 school year.
