Season Schedule

Coming off a wonderful 2010-2011 season that culminated in a splendid performance of Verdi's Requiem, the University Orchestras look forward to another blockbuster season. On tap for the University Symphony Orchestra are such towering masterworks as Mahler's Symphony No. 5, Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra, and Brahms's Symphony No. 4. Faculty artists Marcia Porter, Michelle Stebleton, and Heidi Louis Williams will join the orchestra in works of Barber, Mozart,and Falla. Doctoral Concerto Competition winner Brooks Hafey will perform Beethoven's Emperor Concerto and the orchestra will tackle Silvestere Revueltas's Sensemaya. The University Philharmonia season will promise to be a typically exciting one as well!
