LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT:
| Students for the Master of Music degree in Ethnomusicology must demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language. This will usually be determined by the topic of the student’s thesis research, subject to approval by the Musicology faculty. |
NOTE: Students who do not demonstrate appropriate levels of accomplishment on the placement examinations given during orientation in Music History and Music Theory must take MUH 5219 and/or MUT 5051. These are review courses and do not fulfill degree requirements. Successful completion of these courses prepares students for graduate-level content courses in the disciplines of Music History and Music Theory.
