Double Reed Workshop
Tuesday, June 12 - Friday, June 15, 2012
This specialized workshop for double reed players gives campers an opportunity to focus on literature and skills specific to their instrument. Campers will work alongside FSU faculty members to study solo and ensemble literature, tone production, technique development, how to practice for maximum effectiveness, and how to prepare for an audition. Campers will attend master classes, reed-making classes, and practice sessions. All campers will practice and perform in a small ensemble.
In general, required camp activities take place from 8am-5pm. A sample schedule has been provided below. Due to the short time span of this workshop, there may be some required night activities as well. Students attending this workshop should be prepared to attend fundamental classes, ensemble rehearsals and masterclasses taking place from 7:00-9:30pm. Campers must have attended grades 6-12 in the ‘11-’12 school year. (Rising 6th graders during summer 2012 are not eligible). |

$205.00 Includes tuition only. No housing or meals. |
| Cost for Overnight Campers |
$296.00 Includes tuition ($205) & housing with three meals per day ($91). |
