2011-2012 Audition Information

All FSU students who play an orchestral instrument are invited to audition for an FSU orchestra. Auditions take place during the first week of the Fall semester. For string players, audition guidelines, specific dates, and orchestral excerpts will be posted on this page in early August. For wind and percussion players, your audition information and materials will be available through the Band Office at HMU 101. Results are posted before the end of the first week, therefore allowing students to add the appropriate course number for their assigned ensemble before the end of Drop-Add.

For string players, please note that in addition to the orchestral excerpts, you will be asked to play a portion of a solo for your instrument. Click on the link for your instrument below to print out the required excerpts:
