Recording Technology
We are incredibly lucky to have state-of-the-art professional recording capabilities in the Percussion Studio. The package includes two Earthworks TC-20 High Definition Omnidirectional microphones, two AKG 3000C cardioid microphones, Motu 8pre Firewire interface, Mackie 1402-VLZ3 preamp/mixer, Alesis Masterlink mastering deck, KRK "Rokit 8" monitors, Plextor PX-716UF CD drive, a talkback system, and Adobe Audition 3.0 recording and editing software (and Furman power conditioner). All lessons are recorded, as well as our percussion ensemble rehearsals, then bounced to mp3 format and placed on flash drives for students to take with them.
